Making Sense of the Five Human Senses: Engaging Strategies for Teaching Biology Vocabulary LIMITED
Saturday March 15, 2025 1:00pm - 2:15pm CET
How can we make the science of the five human senses accessible and engaging for students? This hands-on workshop will equip teachers with effective strategies to introduce age-appropriate biological vocabulary (e.g., nerve, brain, response) in an interactive and meaningful way. Participants will receive a comprehensive biology vocabulary booklet, glossary, and a set of ready-to-use definitions.

Through collaborative group activities, teachers will create simple yet impactful exercises such as matching card games, word searches, quizzes, and crosswords. Additionally, engaging demonstration experiments will provide practical ways to reinforce key concepts in the classroom.

Beyond biology and the five human senses, these strategies can be easily adapted to teaching vocabulary across other subject areas, helping students develop language skills in science, technology, and beyond.
Join us for a dynamic session filled with practical tools, creative activities, and hands-on learning experiences designed to bring the fascinating world of human senses to life for your students!

Aimed at 8 - 14-year-olds.
