About me
A graduate of the Froebel Institute in London, Anna Clow has spent many years teaching in schools in Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean. Using music as an integral part of her daily practice, she has led workshops demonstrating how the patterns of sound and rhythm serve as an effective ‘teacher’ of language and are a precursor to the development of early reading skills. Her passion for celebrating diversity in music - in particular using a wide range of genres and languages - has fostered an ‘inclusive’ approach offering real opportunities for learning for children from every linguistic background. Anna has spent many years gathering and writing resources to enhance physical development - both gross and fine motor skills - which she uses in weekly Music and Movement sessions in the Early Years.
In 2017 Anna published a series of pedagogically led songbooks for the Early Years. She has been invited twice to share her expertise and present her resources at Music EXPO in London and was shortlisted for the 2018 Early Years Excellence Awards.
Anna was the English Coordinator at the EIB, Lamartine in Paris before moving to the International School of Lyon where she teaches Kindergarten.
