How can we support young learners to understand scientific vocabulary and retain it?
Drawing on the findings of the recent Education Endowment Fund ‘Improving Primary Science Report’ and evidence-based research this workshop will:
  • explore the vocabulary demands of the primary science classroom
  • share a range of strategies for vocabulary acquisition and retention
  • how to create opportunities for repeated engagement and use over time
This session is most suitable for those teaching the 8 – 11 age range.
