What are the unique demands of reading in science and how can we support learners to overcome the challenges?
This workshop will:
  • establish some of the theory of the reading process
  • identify why reading in science poses unique challenges
  • share a range of literacy strategies to support reading in science
  • share recommendations on how to stay up-to-date on recommended non-fiction texts
This session is most suitable for those teaching the 8 – 11 age range.
