About me
Elizabeth's first career was as an architect. She holds a Master's degree and a U.S. license and has worked in both the Chicago area and France on projects ranging from luxury private residences to corporate headquarters. This background has provided rich terrain for her current career as a math teacher. With over 12 years of experience in the secondary classroom, Elizabeth enjoys sharing her wonder for mathematics with students of all abilities. Inspired by leading mathematics educator Jo Boaler, Elizabeth strives to create space in her classroom for "low floor, high ceiling" activities. This approach allows all students to access the lesson and progress at their own level. In her course, Elizabeth will discuss this strategy using examples from Visual Patterns. Come try it out and see how this approach might enhance your own teaching!
